Arthur E. Geers was born in St. Louis, Missouri, in the 1920's. He attended engineering school at the University of Missouri at Columbia. During World War II he enlisted as a military officer into the United States Army. After receiving military training in the United States he was assigned to the South Pacific where he was stationed at Manila in the Philippines. After the war he completed his baccalaureate and master degrees in engineering from the University of Missouri at Columbia. Upon graduation, he went to work for the DuPont Corporation. During his professional career he lived in the following places: Wilmington, Delaware; Rochester, New York; Aiken, South Carolina; and then Beaumont, Texas. He is now retired and a resident of Beaumont. This collection of personal papers consists of photographs of Lieutenant Arthur Geers and other known associates during his military service in World War II.
